New Book “Scream Deconstructed” Due out Next Week
Can’t get enough of the SCREAM films? Do you have the feeling all 4 of the films have a deeper meaning that you can’t grasp? Well rest at ease because on October 25, 2011 Stinger Books will be releasing SCREAM DECONSTRUCTED online through Amazon (click here to pre-order). According to Stinger Books:
Scream Deconstructed aims to critically review and analyze the themes and characters of each film in the postmodern Scream series and what they have to say about film, the media, sex, and society in general.
Author Scott Kessinger adds:
Critics all seem to agree that the Scream movies had a lot going on under the surface, but there’s nowhere near as much literature about them as you might think. It inspired me to try to fill that void. There’s books like this for Star Wars, for the Simpsons, and now it’s Scream‘s turn.
It is important to note that this book is an unauthorized study on the SCREAM films and isn’t endorsed by either The Weinstein Company, Wes Craven, or Kevin Williamson. SCREAM DECONSTRUCTED does, though, include SCREAM 4 in it’s analysis, so it’s pretty damn up to date!!
