Besides being one of horror’s premier websites, Bloody-Disgusting.com is also in the business of trying to get little-known gems out to the public. Earlier this year (2011), bloody-disgusting teamed up with The Collective and AMC Theatres with the goal of bringing indie horror films both to the big screen (theaters) and small screens (VOD/MOD). Later this month they are presenting Lucky McKee’s THE WOMAN in a limited theatrical release (click herefor details), and most recently they announced the DVD, VOD, and Digital Download release of Trent Haaga’s horror-comedy, CHOP. The film stars Timothy Muskatell, Will Keenan, Ricardo Gray, and Max Haaga and was written by Adam Minarovich. Here’s the plot crunch:
Lance Reed, a seemingly innocent man, is forced by a psychotic stranger to confront his duplicitous past. The mysterious stranger, seeking retribution for a past crime, forces Lance to reveal his inner most secrets by systematically removing his limbs! As time runs out and Lance’s limb count dwindles, he must recall what he’s done to the stranger before he doesn’t have a head to remember with. Jam-packed with laughs, gore and some insane twists, CHOP is the directorial debut of DEADGIRL screenwriter Trent Haaga.
Don’t let the fact that the director is the one who wrote DEADGIRL (my review here); this one looks pretty off the wall. Check out the trailer:
Looks pretty solid. CHOP is being released on December 27, 2011, so mark your calendars and support Bloody Disgusting Selects … they’re doing a great thing!!
