Kill List Gets New U.S One-Sheet & Release Dates

Kill List banner

I’m really looking forward to the U.S release of the UK flick, KILL LIST.  Well we’re one step closer to that with this following news.  KILL LIST will be hitting theaters in New York and Los Angeles in a limited run on January 4, 2012, the day after it’s released on VOD on January 3, 2012.  In addition to these release dates we also got a new U.S one-sheet and a rather bland still from the film.  KILL LIST is directed by Ben Wheatley and written by Ben Wheatley and Amy Jump and stars Neil Maskell, Harry Simpson, and (one of my favs) MyAnna Buring.  Here’s the plot crunch:

The acclaimed second feature of Down Terrace director Ben Wheatley, this British hitman thriller garnered excellent reviews during the SXSW Film Festival. The story follows ex-soldier turned contract killer Jay, eight months after a disastrous job in Kiev left him physically and mentally scarred. Pressured by his partner, Gal, he takes on a new assignment. As they descend into the dark and disturbing world of the contract, Jay begins to unravel once again – his fear and paranoia sending him deep into the heart of darkness.

Dig the new one-sheet (upper left) and the still below.  You can learn more about KILL LIST on their website, their Facebook page, and you can follow them on Twitter.

Stay Bloody!!!

Very well worth seeing when it arrives in the US. It definitely pays homage to director Ben Wheatley’s favourite films and filmmakers (particularly from the Hammer Horror stable) as well as having that edgy, authentic aesthetic of the more recent Brit horror films of Shane Meadows and James Watkins (Dead Man’s Shoes/Eden Lake). • Awesome … thanks for sharing your review Dan!! The only thing I’ve heard about KILL LIST that could be considered negative is not too expect too many explanations at the end. Other than that, fans & critics are living it!!

      Thanks again for sharing!!
