Jaws: The Ride … the End of an Era

Back in December I reported that Universal Studios, Orlando was planning on shutting down the iconic attraction, JAWS: THE RIDE.  This was one of Universal’s original rides that opened the park back in 1990 and it scared the crap out of tourists for over twenty years.  But it officially closed down on January 2, 2012 and if you’re like me, the pictures in this posting will break your heart.  I never got to experience JAWS: THE RIDE first hand … I always felt it would be around forever.  But I was wrong.  There’s no announcement yet as to what exhibit is gonna replace old Bruce the Shark, but I bet ya it won’t be nearly as cool!!

Good night, fair Bruce.  You will be missed!!

    Whatever they get, it won’t replace Bruce, only succeed him….
