David Morrissey To Play The Governor On AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ in Season 3

I wasn’t sure if AMC was gonna do it, but it seems that in season three we’re gonna see one of the sickest, most twisted characters in recent zombie literature on the small screen. British actor David Morrissey is set to play The Governor in the third season of AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD. This will be a recurring role and sources say we’ll be seeing Morrissey for the majority of the season.
I’m excited to see this character, and I’m sure he’s gonna play a similar role in the TV show as he does in the comic book: The main enemy of Rick Grimes and his group. The Governor is the leader of a small band of survivors living in the settlement of Woodbury. But this doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of the psychotic, bat-shit crazy, sadistic son of a bitch The Governor has been int he comic book. Tying up women for weeks at a time for the sole purpose of brutally beating and raping them; making humans battle zombies in blood sports; zombie pedophilia. Does this kinda give you a sense of this character? As many barriers as AMC is tearing down, I just can’t see them writing The Governor to be as sadistic and brutal as he is in the comic!! We’ll see.
The Governor will be making his appearance in the third season. What do you think; good choice adding this character? Are you gannet be pissed if they don’t make him like his character in the comic?
Stay Bloody!!!
