‘Dark Was the Night’ Promises a Brand New Monster
I know when you think of Anything Horror Scott you probably think about zombies. And yes; I fucking love zombies (my novel will prove that this year!!). But I also love a good old fashioned monster/creature flick, and DARK WAS THE NIGHTpromises to deliver the goods and then some. Caliber Media Co., Sundial Pictures, and Preferred Content have started production on the much talked about horror-thriller script DARK WAS THE NIGHT (lensing started on February 19, 2012). The film stars Kevin Durand and Lukas Haas, and director Jack Heller promises that these two actors will do battle with a never-before-seen monster. Tyler Hisel wrote the script. Here’s a brief plot crunch:
Dark Was the Night centers on the isolated town of Maiden Woods, where a nearby logging company has disrupted the balance of the life in the woods. From the frozen forest an evil will emerge and threaten the local citizens, their only hope being the local Sheriff and his trusted Deputy.
Co-starring with Haas and Durand are Sabina Gadecki, Heath Freeman, and Nick (STAKE LAND) Damici. I’ll keep my eyes open for this one. I’d love to see a newer seen before creature!!
Stay Bloody!!!
