Tons of New Stills from Prometheus Show off the Cast & Technology!!
When the hell is it gonna be June 8th?? I’ve been waiting extremely patiently for Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS, his return to the genre he essentially created. Along this very long ride I’ve liked every update we’ve gotten. It all stared with talks that this project was gonna be a prequel to the ALIEN franchise and then it was quickly corrected that this was a stand alone film that at most gives a nod to the ALIEN films. Well what PROMETHEUS has evolved into is something right up my alley. It sound, to me, like 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY but amped way up and transformed into an intelligent action flick. Just to whet our whistles even more, a crap load of new stills have been released. A bunch of them show off the cast and about six of them show off the futuristic technology used int he film.
PROMETHEUS stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Patrick Wilson, Logan Marshall-Green, and Ben Foster, and is hitting theaters on June 8th, 2012. Here’s the plot crunch if ya need it:
In the distant future two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system’s natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team members discover an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers.
Ridley Scott, director of ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ returns to the genre he helped define. With ‘Prometheus’ he creates a groundbreaking mythology in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
