Hatchet 3 Gets a Gremlin (Star)!!
actor Zach Galligan joins the cast of HATCHET 3!!
For my money, two of the best film series in the las decade are the LAID TO REST and HATCHET flicks. They both have an old-school feel to them and both are gory as hell with great stories. Well the good news is that HATCHET 3 is currently filming and a new cast member has been announced. This time out Adam Green won’t be directing but only wrote the script. Green has handed over the directing duty to BJ McDonnell, but don’t worry; McDonnell worked closely with Green on the first two HATCHET films. And dig this cast: Danielle Harris, Derek Mears, Kane Hodder, and Sean Whalen (“Roach” from THE PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS), star. According to The Hollywood Reporter, and geeks like me are digging this big time, a new cast member has been announced: Zach Galligan, the star of GREMLINS and GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH and the star of one of my favorite movie series, WAXWORK and WAXWORK II: LOST IN TIME.
Galligan will be playing the role of “Sheriff Fowler” and his deputy is none other than the son of Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, Cody Blue Snider. Here’s the very vague plot crunch:
A search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and Marybeth learns the secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades.
HATCHET 3 just started filming in Louisiana so I’m assuming we won’t be seeing this one until sometime in 2013. I’m excited!!
