Official Resident Evil: Retribution Trailer Drops

Resident Evil Retribution banner

The RESIDENT EVIL franchise has it’s ups and downs (mostly downs), but I have to give them credit for at least giving each film a lot of fun energy. And let’s face it; Milla Jovovich is friggin’ sexy as hell, hot as the sun, and kicks so much ass that she makes Ripley look like a Sunday School teacher!! And now with the official release of the trailer for the newest installment, RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION, I must admit that this one looks pretty badass. RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION is written and directed by Paul Anderson and stars Milla Jovovich, Boris Kodjoe, Li Bingbing, Kevin Durand, Shawn Roberts, Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Johann Urb, and Colin Salmon. Check out the plot crunch and trailer below and let me know what you think!!

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice, awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

Look for RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION in theaters on September 14, 2012.

Stay Bloody!!!

I have to admit that I am quite looking forward to this. I probably started out taking this series far too seriously. Maybe because I’d heard that George A. Romero was originally meant to be directing the first one, before the studio pissed him off and he left. Then I watched it and realised just it was pretty silly. The next two films make the series get sillier and sillier. And the fourth one comes out and oh my that film was awesomely silly. Wall to wall gloriously silly action, plot and characters. It was soooo much fun to watch and gave me a better appreciation for the others. If the fifth film in this series can capture that same magnificent balls to the wall silly that the fourth one did, I’ll be very happy indeed. :)

I liked in ‘Afterlife’ when that plane dropped off that high building and almost crashed into the ground but didn’t and instead went mowing down the crowd of zombies before taking to the skies again!

    Sorry for the spoiler!
