The Asylum Cranks Out One More Doomsday Flick, 12-12-12

Wait a minute; I thought that 11-11-11 was a doomsday date? Well that proved to be what all those “doomsday dates” always prove to be in the end … bullshit!! Our friends over at The Asylum think they can squeeze out one more doomsday flick and they think they can do it before the prophesied Mayan date of 12/21/12. The Asylum offers us 12-12-12!! 12-12-12 is supposedly the date that the son of the devil will be born. If you’re wondering why that particular date, one of The Asylum producers Paul Bales proclaims:
“This is our last chance to make a movie about the Mayan 2012 prophecy before the world ends on December 21st.”
Milk it? Shit; they’re gonna juice it until every last drop comes outta that pulp!!
12-12-12 is written and directed by Jared Cohn and it stars Sara Malakul Lane, Jesus Guevera, Carl Doleson, and Steve Hanks. What’s that? You want a plot crunch? Well here’s the best I could come up with:
The film revolves around a new mother who comes to realize her newborn baby Sebastian – born on 12/12/12 – is actually the spawn of hell once those around him begin to die.
Uuhhh; wasn’t this film already made under the title, THE OMEN?? The Asylum also released some of the first ‘baby pics’ of the little bundle of hell. Take a look. I can’t wait for the trailer. 12-12-12 will arrive on DVD/VOD on 12-4-12 so we have eight days to get our shit together before the birth of the antichrist and 17 days before the end of the Mayan calendar ushers in the end of the world. Man it’s gonna be a busy December!!
