Darren Lynn Bousman Searches for the Jersey Devil in The Barrens
Release info has dropped for Darren Lynn Bousman’s upcoming THE BARRENS. I really enjoy some of Bousman’s films (I thought his entries in the SAW franchise were pretty damn good), but he hasn’t been on the hottest streak lately. REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA and 11-11-11 left a lot to be desired. I know there’s a large segment out there that consider REPO! to be this generation’s ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, but I couldn’t even make it half way through!! But his new film, THE BARRENS, sounds a little more up my alley. Written and directed by Bousman and starring Stephen Moyer, Mia Kirshner, and Erik Knudsen, THE BARRENS takes us into the Pines Barrens where a family might be the target of the famed Jersey Devil.
