Tony Todd to Headline the 1st Rapture Horror Con in Arizona
Arizona is gonna get Raptured in early October!! Now don’t go calling Kirk Cameron just yet. I’m referring to a newly announced horror convention, WTF Events’ Rapture Horror Expo, being held from Friday, October 5th, to Sunday, October 7th, 2012 at the Mesa Convention Center located at 263 N. Center St in Mesa, Arizona.
The line-up so far includes Tony Todd, Jake Busey, Addy Miller (THE WALKING DEAD), indie filmmaker Dave Reda, “Ms. Vampy” herself- actress Brooke Lewis, “Monster Man” Cleve Hall, author Craig Chenery, actress Jessica Cameron, and cosplay hottie, Jessica Nigri. In addition to the guests, Rapture Horror Expo will have live music, tattoo artists, creepy classic car shows, a zombie prom, and contests. On Saturday, October 6th, United Blood Services will be setting up for horror fans and conventions guest to make donations.
Another focus of the Rapture Horror Expo weekend will be Scares that Care, a nonprofit organization that provides money, toys, and other items to help sick children. Scares that Care has partnered with horror icon Kane Hodder to create the “I Helped Kane” program, where they provide assistance to those children who have suffered serious burn injuries.
