Get a 1st Look at the New RoboCop Remake Suit!!
The first stills of Joel Kinnaman in the new ROBOCOP suit!! ComingSoon.net got the first stills and the suit is looking pretty cool. It’s nothing like the original suit, but I’m imagining what it’ll look like with the addition of CGI and the green screen. The ROBOCOP remake is directed by José Padilha, written by Nick Schenk, James Vanderbilt, and Joshua Zetumer, and stars in addition to Kinnaman, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Jay Baruchel, Michael Keaton, Michael Kenneth Williams, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Abbie Cornish, and Jackie Earle Haley. The ROBOCOP remake is tentatively scheduled to hit theaters on August 9th, 2013. Check out the plot crunch and the first stills of the new ROBOCOP suit:
In RoboCop the year is 2029, and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the centre of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe, and now they want to bring this technology to the home front.
Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father, and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes its remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life.
He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.
