1st Still from the Evil Dead Remake Drops
Here it is. The day we’ve all been holding our breaths over. The first still of the upcoming EVIL DEAD remakehas dropped and at least the filmmakers are leading with a strong still. For those of you familiar with the original EVIL DEAD and EVIL DEAD 2, this image will be quite familiar. The remake is directed by Fede Alvarez, written by Alvarez, Sam Raimi, Diablo Cody, and Rodo Sayagues, and stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, and Jessica Lucas. In the remake starring Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Elizabeth Blackmore, Jessica Lucas and Bruce Campbell, “Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”

THE EVIL DEAD is the CASABLANCA of horror movies. If you;re gonna remake it, you’d better bring something to the table to overcome the innate hurdles. I will remain cautious.
