Trailer & Rating Drop for The Thompson’s
THE THOMPSONS is the sequel to the 2006 horror flick, THE HAMILTONS, about a rather odd family who kills. Doesn’t sound too unique, does it? I wasn’t overly stoked about THE HAMILTONS, but the new trailer for THE THOMPSONS looks pretty decent even though it looks like it borrows heavily from NEAR DARK. I’m just saying.
THE THOMPSONS is directed by Mitchell Altieri and Phil Flores (better known as The Butcher Brothers), written by The Butcher Brothers and Cory Knauf, and stars Knauf, Mackenzie Firgens, Elizabeth Henstridge, Ryan Hartwig, Samuel Child, and Joseph McKelheer. Check out the plot crunch:
In the sequel a bloodbath at a gas station in the desert puts the family on the run, eventually seeing them resurface in the U.K. under a new identity as ‘the Thompsons’. Desperate for protection in this unfamiliar country, the Thompsons seek out the help of a shadowy underground rumored to be sympathetic to vampires.
Now dig on the trailer:
What did you think of THE HAMILTONS? Looking forward to THE THOMPSONS?
Stay Bloody!!!

I’ve seen this available here, but didn’t see the first one, like you pointed out, Scott, it smelled too NEAR DARK to me, but might check It out…
I wasn’t a fan of THE HAMILTON’S. at the end of the day it was your typical After Dark film: lots of potential, shitty execution!!
