New Images for The Bay Drop … Isopods are Real!!

Barry Levinson’s THE BAY has been getting some fantastic early reviews. Critics have been describing it as creepy and scary. Imagine that … a genre film that’s actually scary (I guess I’m not important enough for an early screener
)!! From all the early press there’s one thing for sure … I’m really looking forward to catching THE BAY. What really sets the “creep factor” so high in this one is that the creatures that do all the damage, called “Isopods,” are 100% real creatures that are out in the world right now doing their thing!! Take a look at the real deal:
Let me write it again … these Isopods are real and the above pics are real images. These creatures are not some marketing gimmick created by the studio and the f/x lab. These are real things out there feeding off of other living things as we speak. You can check out the website, Tongue-Eating Isopods, to learn more about these hideous creatures.
Below are two images from Levinson’s THE BAY, written by Michael Wallach and starring Will Rogers, Stephen Kunken, Kether Donohue, Frank Deal, and Kristen Connolly. But first, the plot crunch:
Two million fish washed ashore. One thousand blackbirds dropped from the sky. On July 4, 2009, a deadly menace swept through the quaint seaside town of Claridge, Maryland; but the harrowing story of what happened that Independence Day has never been told – until now. From Oscar-winning director Barry Levinson and the producers of Paranormal Activity and Insidious comes this nerve-shredding tale of a small town plunged into absolute terror. The authorities believed they had buried the truth about the tragedy that claimed over 700 human lives. Now, three years later, a reporter has emerged with footage revealing the cover-up and an unimaginable killer: a mysterious parasitic outbreak. Told from the perspective of those who were there and saw what happened, The Bay unfolds over 24 hours though people’s iPhones, Androids, 911 calls, web cams, and whatever else could be used to document the nightmare in Claridge.
THE BAY will be in theaters and available on VOD on November 2, 2012 from Roadside Attraction. Check out those images and the trailer below:
