Back in February 2012 I reviewed the short film HER HEART STILL BEATS, written and directed by Christopher Di Nunzio. This short film is Di Nunzio’s interpretation of Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” and it’s phenomenal. Besides having a fresh, updated feel to it, Di Nunzio also delivers on the atmosphere and the cinematography. It’s a gorgeous looking short!! Now you get the chance to see for yourself. Just check out the short in it’s entirety below. Here’s the plot crunch:
When Ed’s wife comes home early from work one day he becomes overtaken by a strange feeling when he looks into her eyes. Disturbed or possibly just paranoid, Ed becomes possessed with his wife’s eyes and struggles to understand these feelings. Is she evil or is he insane? They may not have enough time to find out.
HER HEART STILL BEATS was the official selection of the 2012 Action On Film International Film Festival, the 2012 Chicago Horror Film Festival, the 2012 ShockerFest International Film Festival, the 2012 FLICKERS: Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival, the 2013 Boston International Film Festival, the 2013 Gwinnett Center International Film Festival, and the 2013 Fright Night Film Festival. Phew … that’s a lot of accolades and after you watch it you’ll understand why. Check it out and let me know what you think.
