And from the do-we-really-need-this-remake file, the first images from the upcoming remake of The Brain That Wouldn’t Die have dropped. The original film, made in 1962, was a pretty forgettable film full of bad dialogue, terrible special f/x, and plot holes. The film experienced a resurgence in popularity after the crew over at MST3K got their hands on it. Now, the film is getting the remake treatment and is expected to drop in 2018. For now, we have to satisfy our curiosity with the first-released images from the production.
The Brain That Wouldn’t Die remake is directed by Derek Carl from Hank Huffman’s screenplay. The film stars Rachael Perrell Fosket, Patrick Green, Jason Reynolds, Mia Allen, and Robert Blanche. Check out the plot crunch:
A brilliant transplant surgeon revives the head of his recently decapitated fiancee in hopes of finding her a new body.
Kinda to the point, wouldn’t you say? Based on the plot crunch and the first few images released, it is looking as though this is a shot-by-shot remake of the original. We’ll find out soon enough!! For now, enjoy some of the stills.
