Indie Horror Filmmaker Devi Snively is Back with the New Web Series, Martini Mom & Devil Spawn

It’s been far too long since I’ve heard anything from one of my favorite indie horror filmmakers, Devi Snively.  I’ve seen six of her shorts and will be screening her feature film, TRIPPIN’ this weekend (my reviews here, here, and here).  Well instead of a new short film, Snively is taking on the world of web series.  The first episode has already debuted (I have it for you below), and it’s a ton of fun!!  The series is called, MARTINI MOM & DEVIL SPAWN and Snively describes it as “Absolutely Fabulous meets Rosemary’s Baby.”  I’m digging that.  Here’s the press release:

‘AB FAB’ MEETS ROSEMARY’S BABY IN INTERNATIONAL  WEB SERIES  – MARTINI MOM & DEVIL SPAWN

From the award-winning team who spawned film fest faves, DEATH IN CHARGE (Tribeca) and TRIPPIN’(released April 10th,,Camp Motion Pictures), comes a brand spankin’ new web series from HELL!

Series description:  It’s Happy Hour in Hell where everyone’s shaken and stirred after Rosemary unexpectedly births the spawn of Satan.  It’s not easy mothering this mischievous man-eating “messiah”, especially when gun-toting bunnymen, Dick Cheney robots, King Kong and the entire state of Arizona keep interrupting quality martini-time with their own evil agendas.

And stay tuned for episode 8 – the special bonus NEW ZEALAND EPISODE (shot on location with authentic Kiwis!) This is the first of various international episodes that will spawn their own offshoot series around the globe.

And here’s a description of what’s in store for the entire series:

Yes, it’s Happy Hour in Hell where everyone’s shaken AND stirred after Rosemary unexpectedly births the Spawn of Satan.  It’s not easy mothering this mischievous man-eating “messiah”, especially when gun-toting bunnymen, Dick Cheney robots, King Kong and the entire state of Arizona constantly interrupt martini time with their own evil agendas.

While most episodes occur in Rosemary’s apartment – shot on location in Los Angeles – the series will travel to far off lands (like New York, Indiana and  don’t miss the zany New Zealand episode!)

Future episodes will feature guest directors, guest writers and a slew of colorful new characters (including Dick Cheney! — sort of.)

We will be accepting script submissions, character proposals and even outside-produced segments and complete episodes as the series unfolds.

So, be sure and contact us if you want to join the madness.  Everybody’s invited to the party – but BYOB (top shelf vodka’s preferred.)

If ya think it sounds like a ton of fun, you’re right.  I love the energy Snively puts into all her films and she’s got one bizarre and twisted sense of humor to boot!!  So check out the first episode below and visit the MARTINI MOM & DEVIL SPAWN website and show Snively some love!!

Stay Bloody!!!
